Now into 2009 we have expanded our line of instruments and continue to look into other models our customers demand or we feel are missing in the market. Using twists on vintage friendly themes while adding flair and modern advancements where I feel required. I consider them to be tools for tone purists.

The Coming FTI Store
Fine Tuned Instruments is getting ready to launch retail sales starting with our online store and slowly build up walk in sales as well. Now with our new roof on the building we can remodel the inside without any fear of water damage. May 16th starting at 11am till 7pm Mean Gene and the boys will be kicking off an all weekend concert event being hosted by the Grover Beach Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the City of Grover Beach. The days events include Beer, Wine, BBQ and 3 Live Bands, plus Bounce House, Face Painting, Petting Zoo and Pony Rides for more Family Fun. Pet Contest, plenty of Vendors, Dunk Tank, Ice Cream Olympics, SIlent Auction, all weekend event.

 Ok its been slated August 21st and 22nd will be the Fine Tuned Instruments Summer Bash/Open House. The event will consist of a Open House here at Fine Tuned Instruments Friday August 21st where all can tour the shop and meet the crew as well as wrap their hands around one of our necks and choke out some chords while tossing down some munchies, cold brews and usually a jam tends to break out. This is also an open invitation for any of my suppliers or vendors to come share in the fun and show of their goods. If you would like to involved with any support for the event please tag in with me and we'll make this a lot of fun.
Saturday August 22nd the Bash to be on held at Lopez Lake located in Arroyo Grande, CA. Open Jam, BBQ, bring a side dish if you wish or extra meat for the barbie and favorite beverage but dont worry we'll make sure we bring plenty of all the above. Lopez lake is a fishing, boating, swimming, skiing, camping, hiking kind of Lake so anyone wishing to bring in a boat the more the merrier. For those that want to camp overnight, Lopez Lake is requiring a 2 day minimum. There are tent sites to partial and full hook up available for anyone bringing RV's in for the event. In summary were taking over a gazebo for the day and having a lot of fun.
There is a standard admission fee to the park, dogs welcome and of course anyone who wants to come. Other than that the event itself is free.
I will list a variety of possible hotels for those coming from outside the area. More details and or bands to be slated to the event and we will post all news as it happens. Please get on the newsletter mailing list to stay up to date on all events and happenings around the shop. |

Nuclear Physicist by day, guitar designer/player by night, hailing from Switzerland with the debut of his “Villano” model. 25.5 scale, 2 custom designed humbucker’s solid slug staggered mag poles for some very convincing single coil tones and a very well rounded humbucker too with a variety of switching options hiding under the chassis. This is the very 1st prototype 100% built here at the FTI factory and soon to be made available to the public. Chad does some amazing work capturing that well worn vintage vibe with design input directly from Cliff Cultreri himself along with Matte Henderson.  Some very cool news designer Frank LaMara of Musical Products Group (also Egnater amplifiers), Frank has designed a set neck model guitar that has been getting heavily used and abused by Ty Tabor of Kings X on their current tour supporting their new release XV, look for some photos of him and Franks new design in the photo section of our website under Artist photos. Gene appeared on a local Charter Cable TV Show which airs for the first time May 1st in the local San Luis Obispo, CA area. If you happen to be on Charter Cable look up "Finally its Friday" and you may catch Gene doing a solo acoustic vocal session in a tiny hot sweaty TV studio singing his heart out. The show re-airs often so you may catch it a few times thru the year. Stay tuned for YouTube footage to be posted of the show very soon. |
