Welcome To FineTunedInstruments.com |
| Welcome to Fine Tuned Instruments, the home of Gene Baker and his "b3" custom instruments. Where extreme quality craftsmanship and tone are king! Fine Tuned Instruments began shipping instruments in early 2003 on a very limited basis being a small shop. Now coming into 2008 we have expanded our line of instruments and continue to look into other models our customers demand or we feel are missing in the market. Using twists on vintage friendly themes while adding flair and modern advancements where I feel required. I consider them to be tools for tone purists. | | | |

For current news, Mozart our family and shop St Bernard is a bit over 8 months now currently weighing in a tad over 100lbs and still growing. How big will he get? Were thinkin another 40 pounds might do it.
Mean Gene and the Portable Jons (Gene-os band) just got out of the recording studio at J Street Recorders end of Jan, Brain Wheat of the band "Tesla" owns and operates a record label and the boys where recording a demo after Gene-o restored his vintage Gibson Thunderbird that Brian has had since his teens and used on all the early Tesla recordings with. Oct 07 Gene won a local guitar wars competetion getting dubbed the Grand Central Music's 07/08 Guitar Champion. Video may materialize one day if we get lucky. Next year Gene-o gets to come back as a judge for the event.
And as for Guitars: Well it’s been interesting to say the least, as I dove into our newer new neck thru models mid 2007 my intention was to create one new model. It quickly morphed into multiple models as I decided just to stay focused and keep expanding the themes and cater to a wider audience. Beginning first with the shred friendly Korina/Rosewood XS, then branched off into the Alder/Maple/Rosewood XS and XT models in all those cool classic 60’s colors. I couldn’t stop there and spawned the rise of the XT-Phoenix. It’s a very hip all Mahogany bird available in the T or S hard-tail or trem versions, plus the mini hums add a certain vibe/attitude that is undeniably cool. The Phoenix also has a variety of upgrade packages noted with the first few just heading in for paint.
XT Phoenix – Rosewood board, Dot inlay unbound fretboard
XT Phoenix 3 – Rosewood board, Dot inlay, crème bound fretboard
XT Phoenix 5 – Rosewood board, Trapezoid inlay, crème bound fretboard
XT Phoenix 7 – Ebony board, Square block inlay, white bound fretboard
Bolt on models are getting even closer! just around the corner, Stay Fine Tuned... |
